ONGC, Tripura Asset, Agartala invites applications for selection to the under mentioned posts
from young and energetic Indian citizens having valid registration with Employment Exchanges of
Tripura State.
The details of the eligibility criteria viz. educational qualification, age limit, physical standards ,
physical efficiency (fitness), application format etc. are given below which may be read carefully
before applying. The requirement for the posts mentioned below at Sl.No.1 to 5 has also been
notified to the Employment Exchanges in Tripura State.

Eligible departmental candidates may apply through concerned I/C HR-ER who will forward the
application only after proper verification of documents and ascertaining the eligibility conditions
of the candidate for the applied post.
i) Selected candidates may be assigned to work in any onshore or offshore location in India.
ii) No TA/DA is admissible for attending written test, Physical Standard Test/ Physical Fitness
Test / Trade Test or interview.
i) After initial screening, the candidates will be required to undergo written test (in English
medium), Physical efficiency test (wherever prescribed), trade test and interview, in any sequence
as decided by ONGC.
ii) Candidates who apply for the post of Junior Fireman must satisfy themselves that they have the
Physical standards prescribed. They will be tested for the Physical Fitness Parameters- Height,
Weight, Chest, Vision, as a part of the selection process.
i) The Selection will be subject to possession of Educational and Technical Qualification as
mentioned above. The trade certificate from ITI should be recognized by National Council of
Technical and Vocational Training (NCTVT). Diploma should be recognized by Government of
India or U.G.C. or AICTE or State Board of Technical Education as the case may be. In case of
post mentioned at serial No.5, Fire course should be from Government recognized Institution /
ii) Following documents IN ORIGINAL are required to be produced at the time of Interview
(without which candidates will not be allowed to appear in the interview)
a) Proof of Date of Birth, Pass Certificate & Mark Sheets of all Academic years and
Technical qualifications.
b) SC/ST Certificate, if applicable, in the prescribed format duly signed by the
Competent authority.
c) Valid Employment Exchange Registration Card/ certificate.
d) Photo ID Card to be produced at the time of written Test / interview.
e) Valid Competency Certificate as Electrical Supervisor in case of posts mentioned at
serial no. 1 and 3.
f) Valid heavy vehicle driving license in case of post mentioned at serial no.5.
iii) Selection is purely on merit. Candidates should not exert any pressure / influence through any
channel of whatsoever. Bringing influence at any stage of selection process will disqualify the
candidature without any inquiry etc. what so ever.
iv) ONGC reserves the right to fill or not to fill, either wholly or in part, number of vacancies
advertised, without assigning any reason. The number of vacancies advertised may also vary as
per the requirement at later stages.
v) Candidates working in Govt. / Public sector enterprises should submit their applications
through proper channel. Application of an already employed candidate not routed through proper
channel / not forwarded by the employer will not be considered.
vi) ONGC shall not be responsible for delay in receipt of any application.
vii) Delayed / Incomplete applications or without enclosures will be summarily rejected. Such
applications will neither be entertained nor be returned.
viii) Candidature of candidates submitting false certificates or suppression of material information
and /or submission of incorrect information shall be liable for disqualification/rejection at any
stage even after employment.
ix) The envelope containing the filled-in applications along with the requisite enclosures should

ORDINARY POST TO POST BOX NO. 163 , GPO, Guwahati-781001 on or before 27th
June,2011. Applications sent by Registered post/Speed post/Courier/ or directly to ONGC
will not be entertained/considered.
